Speech of Miss Laura Couch.

Dear students and staff of Nagarjuna Academy

It has been our great pleasure to have visitors from your wonderful school to stay with us in Cramlington.  They have been able to see our new buildings and the complete Cramlington Learning Village. Last summer, when I visited your school I was touched by the warmth and hospitality bestowed upon me. We too have endeavoured to make our visitors feel welcome. You all made me feel so very welcome with your cheerful smiles and kind words.

You, the students are inspirational young people with high ambitions and expectations for your future. Your studies take a priority and no doubt your hard work will be rewarded in future. This project would not have been possible without your help. Here in Cramlington we are very grateful to Prebesh and the other Eco-Campaigner’s hard work. We hope you continue your work raising awareness of environmental issues surrounding the Water Project.

Having your Headmaster and social science teacher here has truly strengthened our partnership. Together we have built ideas and plans for our joint curriculum projects. You will no doubt be hearing about these exciting plans and helping to make these ideas a reality. With your continued hard work and cooperation I am sure that our schools will have a successful and worthwhile link for years to come.

My memories of Nepal are fresh in my mind after reminiscing with your teachers about my fantastic stay. In July you shall be seeing two new faces, those of Mr Hegarty and Mr Hardy. I have no doubt you shall make them feel very welcome and together we can share results of our curriculum projects and develop new projects together.

I would like to send my best wishes to all of the students and staff to thank you for your continued hard work and support.

My warmest wishes go out to you all, from Miss Laura Couch.
